Alexander Lukashenko noted that in recent years, Qatar's influence in the Middle East region and on the international stage has been steadily growing. Next year, the country will host the FIFA World Cup, which will be a landmark global sporting event.
The Head of State emphasized that Belarus attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Qatar. This year, the countries celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
"I am convinced that the bilateral interaction between Minsk and Doha, which is based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect, will successfully develop in all directions for the benefit of our peoples," the congratulatory message reads.
