21 April, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will address the Belarusian people and the National Assembly with his annual Address today. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The Head of State's speech will be broadcast live on the Belarus 1 TV channel and the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio. The broadcast from the Oval Hall of the Government House will begin at 11:00 AM. A television version of the Address will be shown at 9:00 PM on Belarusian TV channels.
At BELTA's request, the Press Secretary of the President of Belarus, Natalia Eismont, outlined the main topics of the Address. "The structure of the Address will remain traditional overall. It will consist of several large thematic blocks. The central and, as planned, the most extensive block will be the economic one. This will primarily focus on the tasks and plans for the current year," the Press Secretary noted.
According to her, the Head of State will also address the most pressing issues concerning social policy. These include the improvement of the pension system, healthcare, education, and much more. Additionally, the Address will cover Belarus's foreign policy priorities, personnel strategy, and other topical issues.
The composition of the event's participants is also quite traditional. High-ranking state officials, members of the government, heads of state administration bodies, major enterprises, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the media have been invited to the Oval Hall of the Belarusian Parliament.
