"As we agreed with you before the elections, we would gather a few days after the electoral campaign and discuss current issues of our state's functioning. It is clear from the situation that the most important tasks currently facing the authorities, and in particular the Security Council (perhaps even primarily), are ensuring the safety of our citizens, protecting the constitutional order, and ensuring the normal functioning of state governing bodies," said the head of state.
He stressed that the basis and foundation of everything, and the most important issue, as before, is the functioning of the economy. "Therefore, the government must take all necessary additional measures, if necessary, for the economy to function," the President instructed.
"Everyone who wants to work, who strives to work, must have a job and, accordingly, a salary. Everyone who is not working today must be studied, and they must be offered a job," the Belarusian leader emphasized. "The basis of all these so-called protesters is people with criminal pasts and currently unemployed. If there is no job, then 'uncle can walk the streets and avenues.' Therefore, I kindly ask and warn everyone: get a job (you must. - BELTA note) those who are not working."
"And I want to warn some of our citizens, who have become bourgeois, to put it mildly: God forbid anyone issues fake employment certificates to anyone. Everything must be honest and decent," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
He instructed law enforcement agencies and state structures to ensure the implementation of these instructions.
The meeting also discussed issues of ideology, personnel policy, and media work.
