President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian and the Iranian people on the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution – a turning point in the country's modern history, a symbol of national unity, independence, and the pursuit of justice. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Over the period of its existence, Iran has gone through serious trials many times," the congratulatory message reads. "Recent events have become a test of the maturity of government institutions and the strength of the social contract. The preservation of constitutional order in difficult times testifies to the responsibility of the leadership and the ability of the residents to defend their choice, not allowing external forces to impose someone else's will."
The President emphasised that Tehran's resilience in the international arena commands respect: "In the context of regional military escalation and tough confrontation with those who use double standards, Iran continues to move along its own path, demonstrating progress and adherence to traditional spiritual values."
Alexander Lukashenko noted that he fondly recalls Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to Belarus, which gave a qualitative impetus to strengthening the relations between the two countries. "The negotiations held confirmed the high level of trust between us, and the agreements reached opened new horizons for expanding bilateral cooperation," the Head of State stressed.
The President of Belarus wished the President of Iran excellent health and success, and the citizens of this country – peace and well-being.
