President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the people of the French Republic on the national holiday of July 14. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

"Unfortunately, today the sincere desire of Belarusians and French people to cooperate, to learn about each other's history and culture, is encountering artificial obstacles and prohibitions dictated by the European political situation."
On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself personally, the Head of State wished the French people happiness, well-being, and a peaceful, creative future.
