The sovereignty of Belarus is embodied by the people who perform their duties daily with sincerity and honesty. This was stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, during the presentation of state awards, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"The presentation of awards on the eve of the main state holiday is particularly symbolic and significant. Indeed, when we speak of the country's independence, we mean the people. Our sovereignty is represented by those who perform their duties daily with sincerity and honesty: maintaining peace and order in their native land, serving as models of courage and loyalty to their official duty; strengthening economic stability by working in production facilities, construction sites, scientific laboratories, farms, and fields; providing social support to the population by working in healthcare, education, and public organisations; shaping the country's image through their sporting victories and achievements," emphasised the Belarusian leader.

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, glory always finds those who sincerely strive to benefit the Fatherland through their work, for whom the result of their activities is the primary reward. "It is precisely such people, passionate about their work, true professionals and patriots of their Motherland, who have gathered in this hall. You are the most reliable support of our state. "Not very often, but there are such significant events when not only this hall, built by the hands of our creators, but also the Palace of Independence is filled with special meaning. A special aura is created here. For me personally, this is not for a single day. It lifts my spirits, gives me some extra strength to work as you do. It is always pleasant to work and one's mood is always good when one has health. When there is no health, it is probably difficult to think about work. Therefore, I wish you strong health above all. You are the value of our nation and the sacred foundation that will remain for the new generations who will come after us. They will look at you, they will be guided by you. Live long and move forward to new victories!" - the Head of State wished in conclusion.

In addition to the presentation of state awards, another significant event for the awardees was an excursion to the Palace of Independence.
