A number of members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly have been awarded state decorations. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on September 28, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The Order of Honour for significant contribution to the implementation of the country's social and economic policy, and merits in the development of legislation and parliamentarism has been awarded to the General Director of CJSC "Stolichnoye Televideniye", Yury Koziyatko, the First Deputy General Director - Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of OJSC "Grodno Azot", Tamara Poslednyaya, and the Director of the State Institution "Palace of Culture of Molodechno", Svetlana Soroko.
Furthermore, by order of the Head of State, a number of members of the Council of the Republic have been acknowledged with the Gratitude of the President of Belarus.
In addition, Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree in accordance with which representatives of various fields of activity have been awarded state decorations for many years of fruitful work, exemplary performance of official duties, achievement of high production indicators in the instrument-making and machine-building industries, significant personal contribution to strengthening interethnic relations, development of Belarusian journalism, road and forestry, scientific and pedagogical activities, education, arts, culture, and sports.
Among them, the Order of Fatherland, II degree, has been awarded to the General Director of OJSC "Minsk Mechanical Plant named after S.I. Vavilov - Managing Company of the Holding "BelOMO", Vyacheslav Bursky. The Order of Honour has been awarded to the Chairman of the Committee for State Control of the Grodno Region, Vasily Gerasimov. The Medal of Francysk Skaryna has been awarded to the Production Director of the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus, Galina Galkovskaya.
