President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed Decree No. 380, approving the plan for the preparation of draft legislative acts for 2024. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

The plan has been formed based on the review of proposals from state bodies and other organisations. When selecting draft laws, the real societal need for regulating relevant relations and the priority of their legal regulation were taken into account. Special attention was paid to compliance with the requirements of systemicity, complexity, and stability of legal regulation.

The preparation of 23 draft laws is planned, including 5 drafts forming the budget package, and 5 new drafts (the Health Code, the laws "On Consumer Credit (Microloan)", "On Accreditation in the National Accreditation System", "On Independent Assessment and Certification of Qualifications", "On Real Estate Agent Activities").

The preparation of 13 drafts aimed at bringing laws into compliance with legislative acts, the international obligations of the Republic of Belarus, as well as at improving the norms of laws taking into account practical application, is also envisaged.

According to the plan, the development of two decrees of the President of Belarus is also envisaged – one establishing the procedure for financing under assignment of monetary claims (factoring), and another aimed at the comprehensive improvement of the norms of Decree No. 9 of 10 January 2005 "On Approval of the Regulations on the Conduct of Business in the Field of Gambling".

In addition, the plan provides for the completion of work on the concept of the Environmental Code, initiated in accordance with the plan for 2023.
