President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated employees and veterans of emergency response bodies and units on their professional holiday. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Today marks the 170th anniversary of the fire service of Belarus. Its history is a time of heroic deeds and selfless struggle against the dangerous elements by many generations of Belarusian firefighters – brave and noble people," the congratulatory message reads. "Multiplying the best traditions of their predecessors, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus effectively solves the most important tasks of protecting the lives and health of citizens and preserving the country's material and technical potential. A system has been created and is being improved that promptly responds to all emerging threats and provides assistance to those in distress."
The Head of State thanked the department's personnel for their high professionalism, courage, and readiness to confront fire at any moment. "Being on duty daily, you reliably protect the peaceful labour and security of Belarusians," the President noted. "I express my deep respect to the veterans. Diligence, patriotism, and dedication to the profession helped your generation to create a powerful foundation in the republic for the further development of the fire and rescue service."
Alexander Lukashenko wished employees and veterans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations good health, well-being, and peace. "Take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and our native Belarus!" the Head of State added.
