This year, maximum effort must be made for Belarusian women. This was stated by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, during his meeting with the staff of OJSC "Planar", as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The Head of State recalled that 2026 has been declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman in Belarus. "Slogans are good. But we need to hold significant events for women, not every day, but at least weekly or monthly. The year will pass, and women will remember this Year of the Woman. We must do the utmost for our women this year. This is not to please you, women. You are truly the foundation of our lives," he said.
Alexander Lukashenko instructed to consider what events should be held during this year to make it memorable. Addressing, among others, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalya Kochanova, and the Press Secretary, Natalya Eismont, the Head of State said: "Think together with the Women's Union about how we can make it so that women remember not only that the President declared the Year of the Woman, but that they remember this year. What should we do, what events should we hold? And don't look at the men. They will adapt. Think about it, Natalya Ivanovna (Kochanova. - BELTA note), you are responsible for this. Whatever you say, we will do."
