President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated employees and veterans of state bodies and organizations of the social protection system on their professional holiday – Social Protection Workers' Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Your service performs a crucial state function: it provides support and protection to those who need it, who have found themselves in difficult life situations and are unable to take care of themselves. This is especially important today, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, when mercy, compassion, and philanthropy are literally saving people's lives," the congratulatory message reads.
The Belarusian leader emphasized that social protection workers, by showing care for the elderly and ensuring the observance of the principles of social justice, also make a worthy contribution to preserving traditional values, the unbreakable bond between generations, and strengthening national unity, without which the further successful development of the Belarusian state is unimaginable.
The President wished all employees and veterans of the social protection system bodies good health, happiness, well-being, and further success in all their endeavors and undertakings.
