"Despite a mortality rate of 400-600 people per day, Europe has begun to open up. Within a month, I am sure, the global economy, especially in our neighbouring countries, will be working. Including in Russia. They already understand what they have gotten themselves into. Everyone in the world understands. We need to be ready for this," said Alexander Lukashenko.
Governor of the Mogilev Region, Leonid Zayats, reported to the President on the current economic development in the region. According to him, the nominal wage in the region is growing, investments are being attracted in accordance with the plan, and the unemployment rate is 0.3%. "Practically all sectors of the national economy in the Mogilev Region have worked stably," he stated. At the same time, the governor noted that certain sectors, particularly the construction industry, will have to catch up in the second half of the year.
The President warned that the requirements for the socio-economic development of the regions will not be lowered, despite the situation with coronavirus, so there is no need to be complacent. "We must fulfill the plans that are set before us," he stressed.
