"New windows of opportunity are indeed opening up for our countries. With the withdrawal of Western companies from the market of the Union State, enormous niches have been freed up, which we need to master. The question is, what prevented us from doing this before - lobbyists, competition, corruption? Probably all of it together," the Belarusian leader noted.
Alexander Lukashenko stated that many countries, following the powers that be and thoughtlessly joining the sanctions, are already beginning to think and understand something: "Even to take action. Some Western companies fled from Russia and Belarus. Some are returning. And some never left. They just made a statement. In essence, these restrictive measures against Russia and Belarus, imposed by the United States and its allies, are becoming sanctions for the whole world. The established trade system has been destroyed."
The President emphasized that sanctions weaken the states that impose them. "And they even harm these states to a greater extent. Take the European Union. There is a shortage of fuel. Prices have skyrocketed. There is a shortage of food. Agriculture is very concerned - there is a shortage of mineral fertilizers," the Head of State noted.
"Understanding powers, particularly China, are opposing the sanctions of Western countries that destabilise the global market," Alexander Lukashenko observed.
