On September 9, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting with the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, To Lam, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"Regarding the development of international relations, Vietnam and we share similar views: we are for a multipolar world. Whether we want it or not, a multipolar world will come into being. In this regard, in a rapidly changing, very complex, and ambiguous world, security issues come to the forefront. I very much hope that your visit to Belarus will contribute to strengthening our relations in the security sphere as well," said the head of state.

"I would like to confirm that the current visit of the MPS Vietnam delegation to Belarus will contribute to deepening friendly relations not only between the two countries but also between their law enforcement agencies," said the foreign guest. "This visit is very significant. I think it will provide a good impetus for the development of relations between the ministries of Belarus and Vietnam."
