President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the Indonesian people on their national holiday – Independence Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Over the years of sovereignty, Indonesia has achieved significant progress in the development of the industrial sector, information and communication technologies, and digital technologies, and has managed to become one of the largest regional centres and take a leading position in ASEAN," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State emphasised that in the year of celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, it is particularly pleasing to note the strengthening of bilateral ties, the growth of trade, and the expansion of the treaty and legal framework.
The President expressed confidence that the existing potential for cooperation in the areas of food security, education, and tourism will be fully realised.
Alexander Lukashenko wished the President of Indonesia good health and further success in his responsible state post, and the Indonesian people – happiness and well-being.
