Residents of Lepel performed successfully at the first stage of the Regional Cup for Indoor Pedestrian Tourism Techniques. Ten pupils from the "Pedestrian Tourism" clubs of the district center for children and youth represented the Lepel region. Overcoming the "radial pendulum" and navigating the "corduroy road" were among the challenges that the "tourists" coped with well. Incidentally, this competition served as a kind of training session before the start of the pedestrian tourism season. The results of the subsequent stages of the Cup will show whether the Lepel residents will reach the national and international level. In the meantime, children are taught tourist skills in clubs that operate at three schools – Starolepel Secondary School, Zaslonovo Secondary School, and Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel.
