Colonel Maksim Butranets has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on April 25, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

By another decree, the head of state relieved Major General Igor Pechen from this position. He has been dismissed from military service to the reserve due to age, with the right to wear military uniform and insignia.
