With the onset of favourable weather, motorcyclists, cyclists, and pedestrians using personal mobility devices (PMDs) have appeared on the country's roads.
The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds you of the safety rules:
Pedestrians on PMDs are required to travel on cycle paths, and in their absence, on pavements, pedestrian paths, or verges at a speed not exceeding 25 km/h. They must not impede the movement of pedestrians;
it is strictly prohibited for persons under 14 years of age (except in pedestrian and residential zones) to operate PMDs, or to operate them while intoxicated, or without holding the handlebars if they are present. It is also prohibited to carry passengers outside specially equipped seating areas provided for by the design;
cyclists, in accordance with the traffic regulations, are required to cross the road at pedestrian crossings at a walking pace. When travelling outside populated areas during dark hours, it is necessary to wear high-visibility clothing;
motorcyclists and their passengers must wear motorcycle helmets and ride with dipped headlights switched on. To avoid emergency situations, do not forget to use turn signals when changing lanes.
