24 December, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Low-income residents of Vitebsk will receive Br175 thousand by New Year, the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
One-time financial assistance from the city budget funds will be provided to large families, single-parent families, and families of non-working disabled persons raising minor children; families raising disabled children under 18 years of age; non-working single pensioners; non-working disabled persons of groups 1, 2, 3; orphans aged 18 to 23; children left without parental care aged 18 to 23.
Payments will continue until December 30 inclusive, the Committee for Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee noted. Financial support amounting to at least five base amounts (one base amount is currently Br35 thousand) from local budget funds will be provided to residents of similar low-income categories of citizens and other regions of the Vitebsk region. -0-
