Individual entrepreneurs made the main contribution to the positive dynamics of this economic segment, with their number increasing by more than 5% to exceed 23 thousand. The number of individual entrepreneurs grew at the highest rates in 14 rural districts, including Beshenkovichi (12.5%), Dubrovno (12.2%), Liozno (11.9%), Tolochin (10.3%), Braslav (10%), Senno (9.5%), and Verkhnedvinsk (9.4%). In Novopolotsk, Vitebsk, and the Orsha district, the growth rate of individual entrepreneurs was below the regional average (4.7% respectively). A negative trend was observed only in the Ushachi district, where the number of individual entrepreneurs decreased by 5.7% to 182 entities as of April 1.
The number of small and medium-sized organisations exceeds 8.5 thousand and has decreased by 122 companies, or 1.4%, compared to April 1, 2019.
In January-March of the current year, over Br101 million was received from this category of taxpayers into the budget, which is approximately 3% more than at the end of the first quarter of the previous year. Legal entities in this economic segment account for almost 89% of the total revenue. The share of small and medium-sized enterprises in the budget's tax revenues was almost 23%.
