Under this slogan, on October 15, on the territory of Lepel district, State Automobile Inspectorate officers will conduct an event aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving vulnerable road users.
In the current year, 66 traffic accidents involving pedestrians have been registered in the Vitebsk region, in which 13 people died and 57 were injured.Traffic Police officers will visit work collectives and educational institutions to remind them of the rules of safe behavior in the dark, and to explain the need to use retroreflective elements and high-visibility clothing.
Special attention will be paid to suppressing traffic violations regarding the yielding of priority to pedestrians at regulated and unregulated pedestrian crossings, as well as regarding pedestrians wearing retroreflective elements in the dark.
