Today, the practice of rapid lending to citizens is widespread in the financial services market. Such a financial instrument has also appeared in the field of mobile communication services – for subscribers who have connected to the v-banking (v-wallet) service, the mobile operator offers 100 rubles as an interest-free loan.

At the same time, consumers who have connected to this service have found themselves in the spotlight of unscrupulous individuals who ask to borrow a mobile phone to make an urgent call, claiming their phone has run out of battery. In a short period of time, under the guise of making a call, fraudsters connect to the v-banking (v-wallet) service on the consumer's phone and transfer the money received upon activation of this service to their own account, and then return the phone to the unsuspecting owner.

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) warns users of the v-banking (v-wallet) service, as well as all mobile communication users, and recommends not to hand over your mobile phones to strangers. It is better to offer assistance to the person who approached you and dial the number they provided yourself, without handing over your mobile phone – a person genuinely in need of an urgent call will receive help, and a fraudster will not have the opportunity to misuse the phone owner's funds.
