On July 16, Rechitsa District / Vladimir Vasilkov - BELTA /. The mass grain harvesting in Belarus should begin on July 20. This instruction was given today by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a working visit to the Gomel region, BELTA correspondent reports. "Four days to get ready, and mass harvesting of grain in the country must start from the 20th," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. He added that due to the fact that a significant portion of the grain crops in the fields have lodged, the harvest will be quite difficult this year. "Everyone needs to get involved," demanded the Belarusian leader. "This year, the requirements for harvesting will be the strictest. And not only because the harvest will be difficult, but because there is a shortage of bread in the world today. Russia has dried up, Kazakhstan has drought, Europe has been flooded," the President explained. According to him, huge orders for grain purchases are already coming in. "There will be a huge price. Take control of the price factor," demanded the head of state. While visiting the Rechitsa District, Alexander Lukashenko noted that it is advisable to double the salaries of agricultural workers to prevent the outflow of specialists. The Belarusian leader again demanded that his instructions on plowing in straw be strictly followed. "We need fertilizer. We must do as they do in Europe. We will work in this mode for 5 years and restore soil humus," said Alexander Lukashenko. -0-
