Less than a month after sales began, 70% of tickets for the events of the XXI International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" have been sold. This was announced today at a press conference by Rodion Bass, General Director of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center and Director of the Festival Directorate, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival became leaders in ticket sales. Tickets for solo concerts by Valeria, Irina Allegrova, Sergey Penkin, Boris Moiseev, Lev Leshchenko's benefit performance, Vladimir Vinokur's parody theatre's humour evening, and Andrey Danko's "Verka Serduchka Show" theatre are almost sold out. All performances of the "Theatre Meetings" project will be held with full houses. As Rodion Bass noted, tourist companies, not only from Belarus but also from Russia, have made significant ticket purchases this year. The General Director is pleased with the preliminary sales results and urges those who could not buy tickets for their favourite artists' performances not to despair. Among the more than 70 festival events, there are sure to be some that will attract attention. Moreover, the programme has been enhanced with two interesting projects. The Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will sweep through the festival like a hurricane. The sympho-rock programme "Hurricane" will feature masterpieces of rock classics: Scorpions, Quenn, Metallica. And "Beatles Night in Vitebsk" will undoubtedly bring a positive mood to all connoisseurs of good music, especially since the band The Cavern Beatles will be playing that night in Vitebsk. Rodion Bass considers the increased number of concerts with live sound to be a feature of this year's festival. These include solo concerts by Valeria, Sergey Penkin, Alexander Rosenbaum, and concerts by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus and the National Concert Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. "The festival is 'alive'," Rodion Bass summarised. Ticket prices for festival events range from Br20,000 to Br750,000. The most expensive tickets for the opening ceremony concert range from Br460,000 to Br750,000. Attending solo concerts at the Summer Amphitheatre will cost from Br160,000 to Br300,000, and joint concerts from Br80,000 to Br180,000. Affordable prices are available at the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, ranging from Br50,000 to Br150,000. Encounters with theatrical art will cost spectators from Br65,000 to Br130,000.
