Event dedicated to the Day of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan

On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists, an event dedicated to the Day of the Withdrawal of Soviet Troops from Afghanistan was held at the Educational Institution "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District".

This day is an important date in history, reminding us of the courage and heroism of soldiers who fulfilled their international duty outside the country.

The year 2026 marks the 37th anniversary of this event. Almost 30,000 Belarusians participated in the conflict, and 771 soldiers died.

The meeting with veterans provided an opportunity to learn more about the events in Afghanistan and to pay tribute to the Afghan veterans.
