Railway transport has always been and remains an object of increased danger. To avoid becoming a victim of an accident, it is necessary to know and observe the following safety rules for pedestrians and passengers:

Railway tracks must be crossed only at designated places, using pedestrian bridges, tunnels, level crossings, and platforms, as well as in places where special signs are installed;

Before crossing the tracks on a pedestrian crossing, you must make sure that there is no approaching train;

When a train approaches, you must stop, let it pass, and only after ensuring that there is no moving rolling stock on adjacent tracks, continue crossing;

Boarding and alighting from carriages should only be done after the train has come to a complete stop, on the side of the platform or boarding platform.

It is forbidden to:

walk on railway tracks;

cross railway tracks in front of an approaching train, or immediately after a train from the opposite direction has passed, without ensuring that no train is approaching from the opposite direction;

crawl under carriages and climb over couplers to cross the tracks;

walk along the railway track closer than 5 meters from the outer rail;

ride on the roofs, steps, or transition platforms of carriages;

board or alight from a moving train;

lean out of carriage windows or vestibule doors while the train is moving;

exit the carriage onto the space between tracks and stand there when a train from the opposite direction is passing;

jump from the platform onto the railway tracks;

engage in active games on the platform or tracks;

run on the platform next to an arriving or departing train, or be closer than two meters from the edge of the platform when a train passes without stopping.

The Department of Internal Affairs of the Lepel District Executive Committee appeals to all passengers with a sincere request to observe the safety rules for citizens on railway transport and not to save time at the expense of their own well-being.
