The autumn improvement month starts today in Vitebsk, BELTA was informed by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.
The event is held with the aim of tidying up the land and improving the territory for the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018. Throughout the month, heads of city districts, organizations of all forms of ownership, educational institutions, and commanders of military units and formations are to bring their own territories, as well as territories assigned by decisions of city district administrations, into proper sanitary condition. Special attention will be paid to cleaning yards, removing garbage dumps, tidying up the private housing sector, repairing public transport stops, planting trees, and cutting down wild shrubs.
Residents of the regional center are also invited to participate in the city improvement, the City Executive Committee added.
