The international scientific and practical conference "Traditions and Innovations in Law" will be held on October 6-7 at the Regional Educational, Scientific and Practical Law Centre in the settlement of Mezhdurechye near Novopolotsk, BelTA was informed by Polotsk State University.

The international scientific and practical conference "Traditions and Innovations in Law" will be held on October 6-7 at the Regional Educational, Scientific and Practical Law Centre in the settlement of Mezhdurechye near Novopolotsk, BelTA was informed by Polotsk State University.

Scientists and masters of jurisprudence from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and Sweden will discuss the problems of legal science and practice from the standpoint of the continuous and innovative development of national legal systems and international law. "We have invited specialists from universities with which the Faculty of Law of PSU has already established close ties or is just planning to establish contact. The topic proposed is quite extensive, and speakers will be able to specify current issues during the work of the sections," explained Ekaterina Chizhik, an assistant at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology.

A total of 8 sections are planned. Some of them will address the enforcement of environmental protection legislation, various aspects of innovations in law enforcement activities, as well as the protection and defence of the interests of families and minors. The clinical legal education program, which has been implemented, including at PSU, will be presented as an example of informal student education.

The conference is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Law and the 50th anniversary of Polotsk State University.
