On June 27, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Long-distance telephone calls within Belarus will be free for participants of the Great Patriotic War on July 3. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by RUP "Beltelecom". On Independence Day, telephone calls within the republic from the home phones of war veterans, post offices, and dedicated hospital phones, as well as from phones at service points of the national telecommunications operator, will be free for WWII veterans. Local telephone calls, calls to mobile subscribers, Internet access, and paid reference and information services organised on a long-distance basis will remain chargeable. Information on the provision of free long-distance telephone calls can be obtained by calling the unified reference and information service numbers 153, 130. Free long-distance telephone calls can be booked on this day by dialling the following numbers: for subscribers in Brest, Vitebsk, and Mogilev regions - 8-18, for subscribers in Gomel and Grodno regions - 8-13, for subscribers in Minsk and Minsk region - 8-13, 8-18.
