On November 1, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. The international professional development program for educators "Education for the Future" has been launched in Polotsk with the support of the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the High-Tech Park. This was announced to a BelTA correspondent by Alexander Martinkevich, Deputy Director of the HTP Administration. A week-long training on the courses "Project Activities in the Information Educational Environment of the 21st Century" and "ICT: Strategy for the Development of an Educational Institution" has begun at the Polotsk College of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. The goal of the training is to train national trainers in Belarus for the organization of high-quality implementation of these courses in the training program for students of pedagogical specialties, as well as for integration into the professional development program for all categories of pedagogical staff at the regional education development institutes. The courses contain new methodological approaches to the formation and assessment of 21st-century skills and include a large number of additional online resources. Participants who successfully pass the control assignments will receive international certificates from Intel Corporation. In the future, it is planned to launch these educational courses in Grodno and Vitebsk based on the regional education development institutes and state universities. The project is implemented in accordance with the Protocol of Intentions on Cooperation in the Field of Information and Communication Technologies in the Education System dated August 9, 2011, between the Ministry of Education of Belarus, the Administration of the High-Tech Park, and Intel Corporation.-0-
