On February 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The international exhibition-conference "Energy and Resource Saving Technologies, Equipment and Materials" will be held on February 8 in Vitebsk, the Vitebsk Regional Marketing Centre informed a BELTA correspondent. The exhibition, organised for the 9th time, will be attended by managers and specialists of enterprises representing industry, construction, energy, housing and communal services, research and educational institutions of the Vitebsk region and other regions of Belarus, representatives of authorities and management, and economic entities interested in implementing energy and resource-saving technologies. More than 60 enterprises and organisations from the regions of Belarus, as well as representative offices of enterprises from Russia, Germany, and Finland, will demonstrate interesting projects, new technologies, and equipment in the field of energy and resource saving. At the plenary session "Energy and Resource Saving. Experience and Development Strategy. New Technologies and Equipment in the Field of Energy and Resource Saving", which traditionally takes place during the exhibition, the results of the Vitebsk region's work in 2011 will be summarised, and tasks for 2012 in the field of energy saving will be set. Current issues of energy development and the implementation of resource-saving technologies will also be discussed: the development of alternative energy, the experience of implementing geothermal units in the Vitebsk region, the operation of boiler houses using local fuels, and modern energy-saving lighting equipment. Business meetings and negotiations are planned to establish business contacts. The aim of the exhibition is to familiarise managers and specialists of economic entities with innovations in the field of energy and resource saving, and to present modern energy and resource-saving technologies, materials, and equipment. The forum is organised by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, KUP "Vitebsk Regional Marketing Centre", and the Vitebsk Regional Department for Supervision of the Rational Use of Fuel and Energy Resources.-0-
