On July 11, Minsk / Kristina Kurlovich - BELTA /. The international motor rally "From Ocean to Ocean", aimed at protecting the lives of unborn children, will take place in Belarus from July 13 to 23. This was announced today to journalists by the rector of the parish of the Church of St. Nicholas of Japan of the Minsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, Pavel Serdyuk, reports BELTA correspondent. The large-scale pro-life campaign, aimed against the demographic crisis, mass abortions and divorces, will be held for the first time - the geography of the project covers more than 20 countries. The motto of the campaign is the slogan "East and West in defense of life". Pavel Serdyuk noted that the name of the action "From Ocean to Ocean" is symbolic - the international procession in the form of a motor rally started on the shores of the Pacific Ocean in the Russian city of Vladivostok on June 15, and will end on the Atlantic Ocean in December in the city of Fatima in Portugal. The symbol of the action is the icon of the Mother of God "Częstochowa", whose face the participants will carry through the cities. As the rector of the parish told reporters, on July 13, the international motor rally in defense of life will be welcomed in the Belarusian city of Polotsk. Then the participants of the action will visit Vitebsk, Orsha, Verkhnedvinsk, Minsk, Borisov, Mogilev, Baranovichi, Bobruisk, Grodno and Gomel, where on July 23 at the "Novaya Guta" border crossing, the Ukrainian side will take over the baton. In each city visited by the motor rally, prayer services will be held before the Częstochowska Icon of the Mother of God in the parishes of the churches, as well as round tables, lectures and exhibitions will be held, where professionals and city residents will discuss the demographic situation. One of the organizers of the project is Human Life International - an international organization that unites supporters of the movement for the protection of life and family from 80 countries. The initiative to hold the motor rally was supported by the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Hilarion, and Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus. -0-
