The International Day for the Protection of Children, celebrated on June 1st, serves as an important reminder of the values that we, as adults, pass on to the younger generation.

This day is dedicated not only to celebration and fun but also to a deep reflection on our role in nurturing and supporting children, as well as protecting their rights and well-being. "Peace, sun, friendship – that's what children need!" was the theme of a large event held on the first day of June and the start of summer holidays on Freedom Square, dedicated to the warmest, brightest, and most joyful holiday filled with smiles and fun – the International Day for the Protection of Children. Young residents, their parents, grandparents, school teachers, preschool educators, leaders of school camps, and everyone interested gathered here. Anatoly Karpitsky, Head of the Education Department of the District Executive Committee, welcomed all participants of the festive event.

He wished the children an excellent rest during the summer holidays, joy in communicating with parents and friends, new discoveries, and bright, unforgettable impressions!

At the same time, he reminded adults about ensuring children's safety during the summer period.
The young guests of the holiday enjoyed a rich program: concert performances, plays, games, contests, and many interesting entertainment activities. Children's attractions were open on the square in front of the RDC building, and a drawing contest on asphalt was held there. Young artists and participants of entertainment programs received sweet prizes and, along with all the holiday guests, a sea of positive emotions.
Employees of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, State Automobile Inspectorate, organized interactive zones, master classes, and sports grounds. Schoolchildren and their parents participated in quizzes and quests. Safety contests were held, and prizes were awarded for winning places.

The Day for the Protection of Children was celebrated brightly, on a grand scale, and most importantly – with interest.

Traditionally, as part of the holiday, the award ceremony for the winners of the "Rescuers Through the Eyes of Children" competition takes place.

On this day, we wish every child to be healthy, surrounded by the love and care of their parents, may the sky above them always be peaceful, and may each new day be filled with kindness and good mood. Parents, do not forget that it is you

for a happy and safe childhood for your children! Happy International Children's Day!
