The VII International Economic Forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" will be held on May 17-18 in Vitebsk, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Regional Marketing Centre.

This year's forum will take place in the Summer Amphitheatre. The first day will feature a plenary session, round tables, bilateral and multilateral meetings, and discussions dedicated to the real sector of the region's economy, infrastructure investments, the advantages of operating for investors in the FEZ "Vitebsk", as well as challenges and opportunities for business in the green economy and energy sector. The investment potential of the real sector of the Vitebsk region's economy will be widely presented, along with promising projects from the districts.

Participation in the event has been confirmed by the embassies of Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Israel, Turkey, and the diplomatic missions of Belarus in Lithuania and Latvia. Delegations from Russia, including from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, China, representatives of the UN (UNDP), entrepreneurship support centres from various regions of Russia, and heads of major industrial enterprises of the Vitebsk region will attend the forum.

The programme includes the signing of a number of cooperation agreements and other events aimed at enhancing international cooperation of enterprises and organisations in the Vitebsk region and attracting potential investors to the region.

The second day is scheduled for visits by guests and participants of the forum to enterprises and districts of the region.

The organisers are the Vitebsk Regional and City Executive Committees, the Regional Marketing Centre, and the administration of the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone.
