On June 23, Minsk / Vladimir Vasilkov - BELTA /. The VI International Festival of Christian Films and Television Works "Magnificat" will open in Minsk on September 7 and will continue its work in the town of Glubokoye until September 11. This was announced today at a press conference by Archbishop Metropolitan of Minsk-Mogilev Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, BELTA correspondent reports.
"Magnificat" is a review of works by Belarusian and foreign masters in the field of cinema and television, which are aimed at preaching evangelical ideals and supporting universal human values. This year, representatives from 15 countries are participating in the competition: Belarus, Australia, Germany, Georgia, India, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine, and Croatia. The jury will have an international composition. It will be headed by Kristina Lelko, Editor-in-Chief of "Nasha Vera" magazine.
The main goal of the festival is the missionary enlightenment of society and the support of universal human values through works of film and television art. -0-
