The international competition of children's and youth creativity "Rose of Winds in Belarus" will be held from March 15 to 18 in Orsha, the culture department of the Orsha City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Participants of the event, whose motto is "Let's preserve the cultural heritage of planet Earth together", will include children's and youth creative groups and performers under 19 years of age from the regions of Belarus and Russia. Contestants will perform in the nominations "Instrumental Art", "Folk Instruments", "Academic Vocal", "Folk Song Performance", "Pop Song Performance", "Folk Dance", "Classical Dance", "Modern Dance", "Pop Dance" in five age categories: children's group (up to 8 years old), junior group (from 9 to 11 years old), middle group (from 12 to 14 years old), senior group (from 15 to 19 years old), mixed group (for nominations "Academic Vocal" - choirs, "Instrumental Art" - orchestras). The main criteria for the jury's evaluation when selecting winners will be the quality of performance, artistry, and the complexity of the chosen repertoire. The event program also includes theoretical and practical master classes, the "Rose of Winds - Peaks of Mastery" competition for teachers, the scientific and practical conference "The Use of Health-Saving Technologies in the System of Additional Education for Children", and an extensive excursion to the main attractions of Orsha. Contestants will be able to visit the Holy Assumption Convent, the Holy Epiphany Kuteinsky Monastery, the ethnographic museum "Mlyn", and the museum of wooden sculpture by carver S. Shavrov. The award ceremony for the winners with diplomas and commemorative prizes will be held on March 18. In addition, they will be invited to the XVIII International Competition of Children's and Youth Creativity "Rose of Winds - 2012" in Moscow and the IX International Competition of Children's and Youth Creativity "Workshop", which will be held in January 2013 in Sochi.
