Competitions in the "Sadko" Water Sports Palace swimming pool will bring together 15 teams from Russia, Latvia, as well as sports schools from Minsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk, Gomel, Rechytsa, Postavy – a total of over 300 participants. Winners will be determined in three age groups: boys born in 2003 and girls born in 2004; boys born in 2004 and girls born in 2005; boys born in 2005 and girls born in 2006.
"These competitions not only serve the purpose of achieving sports ranks and improving the skills of young swimmers, identifying promising athletes for the preparation of sports reserves. Such tournaments are also about the joy of meetings, strengthening friendly ties between children and youth sports schools, specialized children and youth sports schools, cities, and countries, as well as attracting attention to swimming. Novopolotsk has everything necessary for the development of this sport," noted the organizers.
The overall organisation and conduct of the competitions are carried out by the coaching council of the swimming department of the specialized children and youth sports school of the primary organisation of OJSC "Naftan".
