An Inter-district Early Intervention Centre has been opened in Postavy. It is located in the district polyclinic and is designed to provide assistance to young patients and consult their parents. Each specialist – a pediatrician, a psychologist, and a speech therapist, as well as support services – is ready to begin their duties: to monitor children from birth to 3 years of age who show developmental changes, and to consult parents.
– The first years of a child's life are the most crucial period, – says Olga Rusak, a child psychologist at the Postavy Central District Hospital. – And if, for some reason, deviations from the norm are observed in development, doctors and parents can quite possibly mitigate them. Timely assistance increases the chances of raising a healthy person.
The centre's service area includes children from Postavy, Sharkovshchyna, and Braslav districts who require specialized assistance.
