May 3, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Police officers have found the arsenal of weapons and armour stolen from Vitebsk knights, BELTA was informed by the Zheleznodorozhny District Department of Internal Affairs of Vitebsk. In November 2011, swords, spears, maces, as well as the entire knightly "wardrobe": chain mails, helmets, knee pads, vambraces, plate armour, gloves and other components of knightly armour were stolen from the premises of the public association "Knights of Utremere". In total, more than 100 handmade items went missing. The search for the perpetrators, which lasted for a year, was successful. The thief turned out to be a former member of the club, born in 1980, who was initially not even on the list of suspects, as he was essentially a "rear-echelon worker": he helped to make armour and weapons, without participating as a knight in the events of his colleagues. The reason for his actions was personal conflicts with the club leaders. The man kept the stolen arsenal in a rented apartment, gradually selling it off through its owner. The Knights of Utremere were lucky: he did not manage to sell 90% of the stolen items. Now these items are being processed as material evidence and will be returned to their rightful owners after the court proceedings are concluded. A criminal case has been reopened against the thief under Article 205, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, which provides for up to 4 years of imprisonment.-0-
