The Ministry of Economy proposes to discuss the draft law "On Licensing".
It has been submitted for public discussion on the Legal Forum of Belarus, BELTA reports.
The Ministry of Economy believes that the law will reduce the administrative burden on economic entities and minimize state bodies' interference in entrepreneurship. Licenses will only be required for economic activities potentially associated with threats of harm to state or public interests, the environment, life, health, rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
The transition to electronic licensing through the creation of a Unified Digital Register of Licenses will allow citizens and organisations to obtain complete and up-to-date information on issued permits.
The new law provides for the elimination of excessive and economically unjustified requirements and conditions for license applicants and licensees, the revision of gross violations of legislation in this area, and the maximum use of IT in licensing.
