The Ministry of Energy of Belarus will present to the government by November 20, 2012, the results of the public discussion on the options for forming the state tariff policy for electricity supply services for the population. This was announced today to journalists by the Head of the Main Economic Department of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus, Vyacheslav Chekurov, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. According to him, according to the developed plan, the public discussion will last until November 1 of the current year, and by November 6, the ministry will have to analyze and monitor the information received. The results will be presented to the government by November 20 for further discussion and final decision-making. The Head of the Main Economic Department of the Ministry of Energy, Vyacheslav Chekunov, recalled that two options were proposed for public discussion: maintaining the current system of payments for electrical energy by the population and introducing a differentiated payment system. "With the introduction of differentiated payments, the tasks of bringing tariffs to one hundred percent cost recovery by the population remain, that is, electricity tariffs will increase, but at the slowest pace," he noted. -0-
