In Belarus, direct telephone lines have been organised weekly this year by regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee to enhance the effectiveness of work with citizens' and legal entities' appeals, eradicate bureaucracy and red tape, paper-shuffling, and to promptly resolve pressing issues faced by the public. Such direct telephone lines have already taken place on January 17, 24, 31, and February 7 of this year.

This practice of direct communication with residents on pressing issues will continue on Saturday, February 14.
