In Belarus, direct telephone lines have been organized weekly by regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee this year to enhance the effectiveness of work with citizens' and legal entities' appeals, eradicate bureaucracy, red tape, and excessive paperwork, as well as to promptly resolve pressing issues faced by the public. Such direct telephone lines were launched on January 17 and are held on Saturdays.
