In Belarus, direct lines are organised weekly by the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee to improve the effectiveness of work with citizens' and legal entities' appeals, eradicate bureaucracy and red tape, and paper-pushing, as well as to promptly resolve problematic issues arising for people. Such direct lines were launched in January 2015 and are held on Saturdays.
