"The government has decided that next year there will be no wages below Br1 million in the country," the Vice-Premier stressed. Regarding a possible increase in the first-category tariff rate, Sergei Rumas said that a decision could be made next week. "There will be an increase, but the date and amount will be announced next week," he said. As of January 1, 2011, the minimum wage was set at the level of the minimum consumer budget and amounted to Br460 thousand. In accordance with the legislation, the minimum wage is subject to indexation. In particular, for October it was indexed by 86.1% and amounts to Br856 thousand 60. The minimum wage, established and indexed in accordance with the legislation, is mandatory for the employer as the lowest limit of employee remuneration.-0-
