In Belarus, from August 1, due to changes in the subsistence minimum budget (SMB) per capita, recalculations will be made for minimum labor pensions, supplements and increases thereto, additional payments for pensioners over 75 years of age, and social pensions, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection informed BELTA.
By Resolution No. 37 of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection dated July 19, 2019, the SMB from August 1 is set at Br230.91 per month.
The minimum old-age pension (awarded to men with 25 years of service and women with 20 years of service), including a 20% supplement based on average salary, will amount to Br242.88.
The monthly supplement to the pensions of non-working pensioners will be Br57.73 for individuals aged 80 and over, and Br43.3 for individuals aged between 75 and 80. The increase for Group I disabled individuals will be Br57.73, and for pensioners who have reached the age of 80, it will be Br28.87.
Social pensions (awarded when no labor pension is received) will increase as follows: for Group I disabled individuals, including disabled persons from childhood, to Br254; for Group II disabled persons from childhood, to Br219.36; for Group II disabled individuals (excluding disabled persons from childhood), for children in case of loss of a breadwinner per child, to Br196.27; for Group III disabled individuals, to Br173.18; for individuals over the general retirement age, to Br115.46; for children with disabilities under 18 years of age with varying degrees of health impairment – from Br184.73 to Br254.
The care allowance for a Group I disabled individual or a person who has reached the age of 80 will be Br230.91 (if caring for one such person) and Br277.09 (for two or more).
The pension amount will also increase for other categories of recipients: Heroes of Belarus, the Soviet Union, Socialist Labour, blockade survivors, former prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, disabled persons from childhood due to injury, concussion or mutilation related to combat operations during the Great Patriotic War (or consequences of military operations), etc.
