February 17, Minsk /BELTA/. The Ministry of Information of Belarus is accepting applications for participation in the X National Television Contest "Televershina" until March 1, the department informed BELTA.
Applications are accepted at the following address: 220004, Minsk, Pobediteley Ave., 11, Ministry of Information, marked "National Television Contest 'Televershina'". Works broadcast in 2013 are submitted for the contest. The jury, which includes well-known directors, scriptwriters, actors, and journalists, will select three finalists in each nomination.
Based on the results of 2013, the contest participants will compete for victory in 25 nominations: "Best Publicistic Program", "Best Presenter of a Publicistic Program", "Best Thematic Program", "Best Presenter of a Thematic Program", "Best Weekly Information and Analytical Program", "Best Presenter of an Information and Analytical Program", "Best Documentary Film (Series)", "Best Reporter", "Best Presenter of a Daily Information Program", "Best Daily Information Program", "Best Program for Children and Youth", "Best Educational Program", "Best Social Advertisement", "Best Presenter of an Entertainment Program", "Best Entertainment Program", "Best Television Producer (Production Group)", "Best Director (Director Group)", "Best Presenter of Regional Television", "Best Regional Television Project", "Best Regional Television Information Program", "Best Regional Television Thematic Program", "Best Television Design", "Best Cinematographer (Cinematography Group)", "Best Scriptwriter (Scriptwriting Group)", Grand Prix - "Television Project of the Year".
The Ministry of Information noted that the variety of nominations implies the involvement of officially registered domestic republican and regional television (video) broadcasting organizations of various forms of ownership. The main goals of the contest are to promote the development of national television broadcasting in every possible way, to form a comprehensive information space in Belarus, and to improve the professional level of journalists, cinematographers, directors, and employees of other professions involved in the production of television programs. "This applies not only to republican channels but also to television companies and television professionals from all regions of the country," the department emphasized.
