The Ministry of Health and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) signed a cooperation agreement today during the open dialogue "Youth of Belarus: Traditions and Future". The document was signed by the Minister of Health Vasily Zharko and the First Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee Andrey Belyakov, a BELTA correspondent reports.

The agreement will facilitate the implementation of joint activities aimed at fostering a healthy lifestyle among youth, strengthening family values, and preventing harmful habits, as well as carrying out various health-related campaigns and other events, including voluntary blood and component donation. The document is intended to ensure interaction with public organisations operating in the healthcare sector, including patient and parent organisations; and to organise events for studying the country's history and honouring veterans of the Great Patriotic War and former healthcare workers.

According to Andrey Belyakov, this agreement will serve as an incentive for young people to take care of their health and engage in sports. "A healthy lifestyle is cultivated in our country, and truly good conditions have been created, including in the healthcare sector. We can be proud of our medicine," said the First Secretary. He added that one of the organisation's activities is organising sports and other events focused on a healthy lifestyle, and it is important that knowledge about a healthy lifestyle is provided by professionals.

Today, on World Health Day, an open dialogue "Youth of Belarus: Traditions and Future" took place between the Minister of Health Vasily Zharko and the BRSM activists from educational institutions of a medical profile. According to Vasily Zharko, such meetings allow students to understand what awaits them in the future and what they need to focus on now.
