The Ministry of Education of Belarus and Huawei plan to cooperate in the field of digital transformation. This was discussed today at a meeting between the Minister of Education Igor Karpovich and representatives of Huawei Corporation and the consulting company Roland Berger, the Ministry of Education's press service informed BELTA.
Huawei and the international consulting company Roland Berger plan to launch a study to develop a plan for the development of the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector in Belarus.
"The development of ICT in the healthcare and education sectors is an important component of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Belarus and the Program for the Development of the Digital Economy and Information Society for 2016-2020," the department emphasized.
During the meeting, Igor Karpovich noted that the country already has certain achievements in the field of educational technologies. "We are ready to discuss the issues of implementing digital technologies in the educational process, and the training of specialists for the IT sector. In recent years, we have achieved a high level of cooperation, so we can also discuss the expansion of Chinese language studies at all levels of education and those projects aimed at mutually beneficial partnership," said the Minister of Education of Belarus.
