Pupils who have achieved at least seven points in specific subjects upon completion of the second stage of education (grades V-IX) and have an average certificate mark of at least six will be enrolled in classes (groups) where individual subjects are studied at an advanced level.
Furthermore, according to the resolution, such groups will be established at both the third and second stages of general secondary education.
There will be no entrance examinations for the fifth grade of gymnasiums, boarding gymnasiums, and gymnasiums-colleges of arts. All pupils who have completed the 4th grade in such educational institutions will be able to continue their studies in the 5th grade. Competitive selection will be maintained for admission to the 5th grade of gymnasiums-colleges of arts to assess creative abilities. Those who have completed 9 grades will be able to continue their studies in grades 10-11 without examinations or assessment of creative abilities.
The resolution comes into force upon official publication.
